Residence

On Campus residence for the whole duration of the Course is compulsory. Each participant is provided with single furnished accommodation with all the basic facilities. Bedding and linen are provided by the College. Participants are expected to stay in the College on the weekends for research, rest & recreation, sports and cultural activities etc.  Breaks are provided at reasonable intervals during the session to enable the participants to visit their families in their home towns. Special leave for weekends, with compulsory prior permission of the Principal through Training Wing, can be obtained.

Mess

a.         The College has mess arrangements for provision of bed-tea, breakfast, refreshments during break, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner for the participants.

b.         Dining hall remains closed when the classes are in progress.

c.         Meals are only served in the dinning hall.

d.         Meals are only served only at the specified timings on all days.

Computer Laboratory

·                     The Computer Laboratory is equipped with computers, printers and scanner facilities.  These computers are networked with a server and a stand by server.  Round the clock internet connectivity is provided by the college server to all the participants and faculty.

·                     Audio/video facilities include multimedia used during presentations/ lectures.  Internet facility is also available for accessing information for various assignments.  Computer literate staff is available in the morning and evening sessions for assistance.

·                     The Laboratory timings are as under:

Monday to Thursday

8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Friday

8:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Sunday

10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

College Library

·         The College has a well equipped specialized Library with latest books and periodicals on all the subjects relevant to National Management Course and other short courses conducted by the College.  Books are classified according to the internationally recognized Dewey Decimal Classification System Edition 20.

·         Books are issued strictly according to a "self-charging system" which means that the participants select books themselves, take out book-cards of the selected books fill them and sign them. Then handover these cards to the official on duty at the Issuing Counter. Books are issued for a maximum period of 15 days at one time. Not more than 5 books can be drawn at one time.

·         Books prescribed for, or relevant to, the study of syndicate subjects allotted are kept in specified shelves marked "Reserve shelf". These are basically meant for use by Syndicate members of each group. The material will be rotated among syndicate members in accordance with the procedure determined by the faculty member incharge of the Syndicate Group.

·         Library maintains a reference Section which has a reasonable collection of books for ready reference. Reference books/ material are marked with the notation 'REF', and are not issued for use outside the Library premises. These can only be got issued for reading / browsing within the Library premises. Journals or periodicals are kept in the periodical room. These are also placed under the category of reference material.

Visitors

Lectures, panel discussions, syndicate and group discussions, workshops and seminars are all restricted to the participants, the faculty and the visiting faculty. Visitors are not permitted to attend these sessions.

Telephone

·         The College has PABX telephone exchanges, numbers of which are 9202941-44 & 9203883-6. Telephone sets have been made available in all the hostel rooms. Local calls can be made directly by dialing 9 before the actual number.

·         Mobile Phones are NOT ALLOWED in NMC Hall, Syndicate Rooms, Library & Auditorium.

Locker Facility

Locker facility is available for the participants.  Lockers are located outside the NMC Hall. These are used to deliver incoming mail, provision of reading/reference material to the participants and notices from the College.   The participants are required to clear their lockers twice a day; once at the start of the session and once in the afternoon.

·         A letter box is installed in the College in front of the Academic Block which also indicates time for clearance.

Medical Facilities

·         The College has a dispensary with a Medical Officer who attends from 0800-1430 hours daily on working days. Except Friday, for Friday the timings are from 0800-1200 hours. The participants are required to pay for the medicines and get reimbursements from their respective departments/ organizations.

·         Serious cases are referred to the local hospitals/specialists and payment, if any, has to be made by the participants and reimbursement claimed from the respective department/ organization.

1.         For all indoor/out door activities, following Dress Code is to be observed:

i.   Lounge Suits (Not Combinations)
ii.  Shalwar Qameez with Sherwani (Not waist coats)
iii. Closed Collars in Mess/Dining Hall/Library
